I used the wings formation and had to kick. It forces a few 1 die blocks BUT all of them were successful and one killed a bloater off the bat. BUT it set me up to sack the carrier T1. This is the only good thing that happened for me and I was able to recognize it so I feel good about that.
I tried a dodge to hit a dwarf near the sideline and failed with a RR on it. Looking back, I think I would do this again. I get a 2 die block and I at least push the dwarf on the ball - I hope it scatters to off the pitch and to some random place a dwarf isnt as they cannotreposition well. Correct decision - just crap dice to back it up.
I usually try to take something away I can do better, but theres not much here. As for everything else, whatever the opp touched turned to removal. Its not often the stats tell the whole story, but here they pretty much do.
1s and 2s making up 11 of my single die roll attempts
Skulls making up 32% of my block die
Opps injury rolls were 45% 8 or higher, so basically a coin flip to just straight remove a player.
Opps skulls were high, but were mostly mixed in with other block die. There was a few single skull fails on his end, but thats when the game was well out of reach.
Sometimes this game gives my opponent everything to where it's just not even worth trying to get the rest of the game out of it. ”
