“SWL CIV PREMIER- Game #5

The 2nd worst showing the Canetoads have put forth, an absolute drubbing, one way traffic from the outset.

We could get no traction. We were asphyxiated by Coach Bobsol.

Rapidly losing players to blocks and fouls, with the looming threat of Griff and his S4 M9, we were forced to score early.

Griff then easily scores back, and we start the 2nd half with 8 players after one is stunned on a blitz! event gfi fail.

The floodgates opened and there was nothing to be done.


Learnings


1. FEINT

We fell for the feint a number of times.

Or perhaps it was a combination of trying to cover one side, whilst not having the cattle or speed to cover the other.

In any case, we could not stop Griff, and he was always protected by well positioned halflings.


2. ATTRITION

We suffered here. Mass removals from blocks, and also fouling.

I suppose we did feed the trees players to lock them down a little, but this was easily negated by M3 pro skill trees, and their MB quickly removing us.

Maybe we just need to stand off a bit more. I'm not sure, to be honest. Maybe Nuffle touched the game, but we survived it better than most other games this season.


Summary

Outclassed, pure and simple, by a better team and better coach.

Our team build has been poor, attrition has hit badly, and we are suffering from it now.”
