I managed to move the ball forward on the bottom with a screen/cage (it wasnt a complete cage but I think it was good enough at the time. All I needed was a 2 die block to seal protecting the carrier and then 1/89. Follow that up with 2 removals on my opps turn and Im in trouble. I still manage to move forward but next turn forst block is ANOTHER 1/89. Im thinking, opp still had to dodge out with an unskill skelley, should at least use a RR right, not so much. The goblin wasnt stunned - I used the saved RR to pick up the ball, and then tripwire.
Next half im setting up with 9 players to his full roster, failing 3/4 KO rolls. Im realyl just chucking dice to try to sneak my goblins in the back. Thankfully, khemri ball handling was ACTUAL khemri ball handling. I had enough time to get some goblins back there to mess around with things. Whenkhemri finally picked the ball up, my gonlin (1/5 of my players left on the pitch) rolled some amazing stuff to get closer to the EZ. Opp kept fouling him until he was out (which I applaud - this world needs more blood).
I made sure to blitz and take care of what would be his only receiver. The blorcs that were left decided to show off their footwork and did some stupid dodges.
Game neded in a draw in a game I am pretty sure both me and my opp are glad to not be playing anymore.
Keeping 2 throw ras near the ball was a good move for my opp I think. I dont usually see a 2 throw ra roster but it worked well. Theres more MA on the field. I may consider having 2 in the future.
I liked my first half staying back and sniping players. it worked until the pressure got to me (which is fine - no such thing as avoiding pressure all day long).
As for dice:
Both my Opp and I had about equal blocks BUT he has 35 AV rolls to my 20. Kinda rough BUT I dont have block and hes got tackle. Those numbers make sense considering.
The injury rolls are pretty crazy for my opp, 10/18 being 8 or higher (this is before any MB applies) - just bananas. Im fortunate to only have lost what I did with these numbers. My inj rolls are also high, but I only rolled a third of my opps total numbers.
My dodges were also bananas. I guess what we lack in having actual AV 10 plus we make up for with blorc dodging trickery?
Second game in a row where I cant keep any players on the field, and in only 35 blocks that is incredible.
Game could have gone the other way if I did not triwire into the EZ. I wouldve had 2 rolls for KOs instead of 1. But my opp gets more blocks then so - if this/then that - alternate universe woulda shoulda couldas. ”
