I kept a thicker screen and match my opp for a little while in the beginning. But after the staring contest, we started to base and hit each other. I still havent really figured out this team. I spent a few turns taking the 1 turn blitzer and passing him around until the foul kicked it. I did the same with a big un. Those are the things I have learned to do. But I havent learned positoning very well. Theyre just a dynamically slow team. I want to run a screen of goblins to extend a play but then my blorcs are just hanging arund in the back and not contributing. OR Im rushing all over the place to get them to catch up.
Opp had a timely snake on a rush with the ball carrier. It Opened things up for me. I liked that I ran the DP goblin back instead of fouling again with 6 turns left. It put me in a position to score. The team for a SECOND game in a row snaked a rush in the EZ.
Second half start alright. I am prepared to lose a ball and chain to a 2 die uphill when I get one. AAAAAnd that happened first turn, no RR required. This was the beginning of one of the mose one-sided halves I have ever played. After about T3, each opps block removed a player. When he had a good player advantage he based the cage which was a good move. it forced me to do stuff. I had the carrier with the ball with a buddy. BUT opps 1 die, dodge, rush, and hit all work popping the ball loose and removing yet again. It came down to that and my attempting to pick up on a 4 and then dodge out - any of that goes in my favor and the player count doesnt matter, Im looking at a score.
But not for these guys. I had 3 players left at the end. His line ork picked up on a 4, dodged out, no problem.
Second half was basically all removal dice at that point. It realyl stinks to have a score stolen by a tripwire, and then to have a half lost because of dice like this. Ah well, on with life.
As for dice:
Opps INJ were 49% 8 or higher - just crazy high. This does not take into account MB either. Mine are spread out about where they should be on average.
Opps single die 1s were high which mattered a lot in the first half.
Hoping these blorcs get a break from removal at some point in their lives. Last game I ended with I think 2 players on the pitch, this game 3 - and the block attempts arent even that high (before the last few turns when everything went downhill - its just block bonanza at that point). ”
