“Norse definitely cheated their way to victory here.

This should have been a resounding loss, however we were able to capitalise on 2(!) blitz! events in our favour.

Undeserved.


Learnings:

1) SURF

Opening turn we had an opportunity to surf a dwarf with a blitz.

We were positioned to do so, but just didn't see it. Very poor mistake, and could have defined the game early.

2) SKILLS

We did not notice the opposition GUARD skill positioned on LOS, and open our turn with a 1db.

We really were asleep at the wheel at the beginning of this game.

3) POSITION

Opening turn, our LOS blocks and choice of follow ups leave a player in base contact to be blocked next turn.

Very poor play to allow free blocks like this.


I do think, had we not failed the 1/9 dodge, the game could have been different. But those things happen.”
