“
Arsonists were very lucky.
Sometimes we are accused of luck, but this game it is true. 22% of Vampire rolls were 1s. Enough said.
But, 3+ pick up fail on edge of pitch, followed by favourable crowd throw in to enable Arsonists to secure the ball? Well...
Nuffle decided this game.
Learnings:
1. ZONES
Vampires are always tricky, and one must try to put as many tackle zones around the ball carrier as possible.
Weird, convoluted shapes are best. With GUARD skill near the carrier being ideal, just in case they are able to penetrate.
We got lucky that some gaze and sack attempts did not come off.
2. PROTECT
Can the ball be sacked? Yes? Then protect the ball carrier.
We did not do this, go sacked, but were lucky to be able to recover due to a blood lust.
Learning is to always protect if possible to do so.
