“It was a hard-fought struggle early on, with the cd's getting the ball close to my endzone, but I knocked his hobgoblin over. Tried to trick-throw the ball up the field to my blitzer, but his agi 2 dwarf, in multiple tz's, managed to intercept it! (All he needed was a 9+, no biggie...*rolls eyes*)

He sets out 3 players for my turn 8, but I'm able to chain-block my move 9 catcher and promote him into a one-turner for the tying score, with me receiving the kickoff. Things are looking good...

...until his claw mino gets in gear. Tried to niggle my brand-new ogre (apoth worked, _I_ almost had a heart attack at that!), then did MNG my speedy catcher and ko'd half the rest of the team. I then made the mistake of going after his team around my players instead of making a play for the ball after he stole it from me from my failed/rr/failed dodge (granted, it would've required some massive dodging to get to him, but it could've been done). He proceeded to stall for a good 5 turns before finally scoring at the very end. Very dull end to the game, and the crowds on both sides booed as they left the stadium, distinctly unentertained.

But nothing permanent on my team, we have our second catcher back...again...let's hope she lasts longer this time...and the team just keeps improving, slowly but inexorably, our eyes set on returning to the glory days of our TR 265 ranking or even higher...”
