“For the third match of the summer tournament, the Legion was facing the Nightwings of Anlec. They claimed to be 'nagarythes' or whatever, they sure looks like emo high elves to me...

I kinda messed up the inducements and ended up hiring a wizard again (sorry Khorne...) and a brave and crazy fan who wanted to play with us.

We received first with a deep kick by the elves. With a good hit, Aghond, Bringer of Death opened the battle for the middle of the pitch.
Behind him, Elaraz and his disciple Ingugan were trying to close the distance to the middle as fast as possible.
But the damn elves spotted them and rushed to stop him. With 3 elves next to Elaraz and most of his teammates occupied, I ordered the wizard to try to clear the way. The fireball hit two elves and we gained some momentum to advance a bit with the ball. But the elves were relentless and Elaraz had to dodge several times. Finally he tried to run alone into the Nightwings' pitch.
Unfortunately the elves were quick to come back and steal the ball.
Outnumbered and with the ball lost, the Legion couldn't do much. Aghond, Bringer of Death, tried an aggressive play to hit the ball carrier but to no avail and the elves scored on turn 8.

Not one of your ko players came back on halftime. What is this, we're scared of some measly elves now ?!
9 vs 11, the defence without the bloodletters was chaotic but not as bad as expected. The Elves wasted some time fighting us but logically scored on turn 4 to guarantee a win.

This let Elaraz try another attempt at scoring. Aghond, Bringer of Death, soaked all the pressure of the elves on a side while we went to the other one.
Alas, when Elaraz tried to give the ball to Ingugan, that damn sprinter just let it slip... Come on guys, Elaraz can't be the only one capable of handling the ball...

The Legion is now looking with their bloody eyes towards their next opponents, the powerful blood dragons. With nothing to lose, our warriors will be enraged for their last match of summer.
