“A bizarre match which opened with the Boyz fans killing the ref. The Boyz started their drive powerfully, and used their free fouls to keep their High Elf opponents stunned. However, somehow the Classics managed to steal the ball and quickly score the first TD of the game (after 4 turns).
At the next kick off, the Classic fans killed the replacement ref, but they were unable to stop the Boyz from powering towards their endzone. Unfortunately for the Cliche, one player was seriously injured (niggled) though failing a dodge, and then later, another player killed himself when he blocked an Orc lineman.
By this time, the Classic owner was very upset, and announced that the team would be disbanded after this match.
The second half opened with a riot which lasted 3 quarters of the period, seemingly robbing the Boyz any chance to win the game despite them having 4 more players on the pitch.
However, the Classics were playing for pride now, and trying to win, so advanced the ball forwards in an attempt to score rather than protecting the ball to ensure a draw. The Boyz were then close enough to storm the ball carrier and pass the ball downfield to score the winning TD just as time ran out.
--------------------
Very unlucky rolls for my opponent in the first period which understandably made him very dishearted and lose interest in the match.
If he hadn't pushed forward on his turn 7 drive (after the 6 turn riot) in an unlikely attempt to score, I would have probably drawn the game.
