“What can I say about this one?!
The game was a big question mark for me right from the beginning. I had no expectations what so ever about the outcome. But after couple of turns, I started to realize how difficult it would be for me to hold down 2 Bull Centaurs, 1 Troll, 5 Chaos Dwarfs and a bunch of hobos.
It took a measly 4 turns and MM made their first TD. They constructed a 'cage' and went right through along the sideline. Ofcourse, I had placed my Saurus' along or close to the center line...so, all of them were tightly tied down by tackle zones and could do nothing but hit the poor CD's with fear of getting anykind of 'skulls'.
After 2nd kick-off the weather changed from nice to sweltering heat. My 3 saurus' and one skink suffered the effect and MM had 1 Troll, 1 CD and 1 hobo down. That didn't improve my chances even marginally...d'oh.
At the end of the 1st half MM made a try for their 2nd TD, but failed...my defence had their hands full trying to keep the hobos and BC's clear of the endzone. They merely succeeded. Phew.
2nd half didn't offer me but two good chances to run for a TD. And like the 1st game with this team, this one also tripped on the lack of 'sure hands' in the team.
Those skinks fulfill their meaning in this game RIGHT AFTER they get their first skills. But before that...oh dear, 2 re-rolls are spent in an instant.
And I can't be too happy about the skill-less saurus's either... Had my share of those double-skulls or skull & block-skulls.
Only good thing was that (amazingly) none of my skinks or saurus' weren't sent home in a box. Only 2 KO'd skinks and that's all. Oh yeah, and 1 saurus got those block-skulls and ended up in the BH pit.
From my point of view the game was composed of Kharnath's excellent, thoughtful playing and my headless, moron-like bouncing after the slippery ball. What a joy.”
