“With the Princes' treeman failing to make the first drive, the undead were able to set up a tough defence. But a line elf put down a mummy on a 1db, allowing a catcher to run through into the backfield. Although a ghoul managed to put a tackle zone on the elf thrower it wasn't enough, and they managed to score on turn 3.
With only 6 turns left, the Ghoulies turned to page one of their playbook, the slow cage. And it worked, but not without difficulty as the brave wardancers leapt in time after time to hit the ball carrier, each time to be thrown back.
Receiving in the second, the undead planned a quick TD, hoping to then force the elves to score and finally walk in a winner. But while they were plotting the Princes sneaked in an extra turn! Three elves stood there waiting for the kick, which with surprising accuracy landed right in their midst. While the Ghoulies did their best to stop it, an elf catcher got up, picked up the ball and dodged out to score.
2 - 1 down, the undead saw no option but to play for a draw, and so the second half became a copy of the first. With a number of elves knocked out or pushed into the crowd by the raging Six Feet Under (who gained the MVP for his efforts), it proved easy enough to level the game.”
