“I suppose we can be happy with the result, after realising that the last time we played the Power Mutants we lost 2-1. To be honest, we were lucky to go ahead. A passblock dodge intercept gave us the ball in an unlikely situation, and only after a double pushback by the opposition could Óin finally dodge to score in the 7th turn. Previous to that we were on the ropes. In all fairness, Power mutants were just a wee bit lucky to equalise before the break. various GFI's and blocks were rolled before Pigmy went over to make it 1-1.
2nd half, and the Mutants were receiving. A poor setup allowed them to push forward into our half unopposed. Only then did things start to go our way. 3 injuries, 2 knocked into the crowd, and a few KO's thinned out the Orc ranks. Unfortunately Gimli knocked himself out running to pick up the ball, and in the closing stages it was an unlikely Power Mutant long bomb which was the only thing that could break the deadlock before the buzzer. Thankfully the dice stood up to their side of the bargain and the pass failed - just. A further push into the crowd reduced their numbers even further but, unfortunately, without the mercurial Gimli we could not make the line before the end.

Player of the game: Óin's passblock/intercept/dodge/score combo was incredible to watch.

Play of the game: It's been a while since i thought any specific play was worth mentioning but, as said above, Óin pulled off a lovely move towards the end of the first half.”
