“48,000 disappointed fans filed out of the Bank of America Arena and Giant Pyramid for the Slaughter of the Enemies of the High Priests as the Heroes of Lustria played the Grazak Khan Grumblers to a 0-0 tie. The doughty dwarves received the ball in the first half and proceeded to plod up the field in a determined, methodical fashion. An unlucky block by one of the dwarves gave the Heroes a chance to get the ball late in the first half, but the few skinks that remained uninjurered didn't have a chance to move the ball upfield.
The second half saw the Heroes starting with only 3 of the 6 skink runners available, as two had been knocked our or serious injuried while another, Baragon, was sent to an early demise. Godzilla had a spectacularly bad half, standing around stupidly for nearly fifty percent of it. The remaining saurus could not open up a hole for the fearless skinks, and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
The only bright points in an otherwise disappointing game were the emergence of future blocking stars King Kong and The Thing, both of whom managed to break through the thick steel plate of the dwarves to cause casualties. ”
