“What felt like a good result became a little bit of a farce in the second half, with England ultimately unable to compete due to outside influences.
We came into this match as underdogs. On the handicap roll, one of the results was virus.......they dont have any niggles. So, odds against us then.
The first few turns were a bit of shoving and squaring up, but in the 4th turn we started to exert some pressure. The three ST4 boys (Grim, Galrung and Gamil with the illegal drugs) were able to go it alone against the Chaos Dwarves, and when Galrung and Gamil ganged up on the minotaur there was only going to be one loser. Exit stage right for Scholes. Óin added another casualty to his growing list of scalps and that left Maxon to go over in the 6th to make it 1-0 against the odds.
In the second half the oppostion set up with only 3 players, and we thought that perhaps they had had enough of the death and gore and were going to concede, so we took our turn in the hope of some last gasp SPP......and then no concession. So we trundled up the park, finally getting the ball to Forin so that he could score and get another skill. Throughout the march down the pitch the stadium was deathly quiet; the home fans were shocked by the prone England players who refused to get up.
The last few turns were irrelevant, with only one team attempting to score. A turn 7 foul on Óin seemed a little bit unneccessary, but there was no damage done, so in the end it finished 2-0.

A good result against a more powerful team, but less impressive than it was shaping up to be.
