“We were by far the stronger team on paper before the game had started but four players were unable to play due to niggling injuries. Then Morley's revenge struck and we lost yet another player. So we lined up with only 10 players in the first turn.
The game started in our favor however, on kickoff we managed to blitz their defense and secure the ball. Not that we helt the ball for that long once the elves had realised what had happened. But lucky scatters made it so the ball was on our half of the pitch and we could claim the ball as ours. We took a little chance and Filth Fever ran into the endzone as Sick Cow sent a long pass that he catched with ease.
We lined up again and this time we lined up a little more defensively and on the kick we sent it far back. Who had thought the elves had learned nothing from the first kickoff. We once again blitzed them but the damage was a minor one compared to the first blitz. Top Modellerne then made a crucial mistake to make a pass within range of two rotters and the beast. This we took advantage of and moved the beast into position to keep as many elves as possible busy. Then we tried to secure the ball, and keep it secure. The ball managed to get back to Sick Cow eventually. Sick Cow sent it up to Spotted Plague who scored easily.
In the second half we wanted to score a quick touchdown to get in more players from KO box/Morley's and took a little chance on a half risky pass which the elves failed to intercept and Filth Fever could once again score.
Modellerne must been angry by the humiliation we put them through. Because at kickoff they knocked out both our rotters and fouled the Beast so he had to be carried out from the pitch. But our 6 remaining players did an excellent job, they defended well and even managed to take possession of the ball in the 16th turn. Unfortunately there were none who could reach the endzone in time but that would just have been a bonus.”
