An interesting match through and through. With a buzzing ogre in death mode, and the thrower's hidden talents for maimage, things were dicy to say the least. Both sides in continual prayer for mercy on the injury rolls throughout the game. Got lucky in the first when, after a hairy two dice I choose frenzy, he made an unnecessary dodge. It failed, but he could have scored otherwise. Thanks for the nerveracking game, hopefully the next will be even better.

A failed 3+ dodge was what stood between me scoring early and him taking the ball all the way back to score in turn 8 of the first half. He then accepted the second half kick and systematically marched down the field for a second score, again in turn 8. Rather boring play calling, but the tension was more than made up for in the injury-side of the house. The game opened up with both sides scoring multiple cas in the first two turns of the game, using our apo's to prevent niggles (my niggle was from a failed dodge--I mean really, who fractures their leg failing a dodge?). For the remainder of the game, every time either side threw a block/blitz, the opposing coach would cringe in fear of another injury. Incredibly, though there were a large number of ko's and stuns, only one more bh was generated the rest of the game. And in the end, his quartet of block/guard cw's was more than my quartet of guarding blitzers could stand up against, and eventually he was able to push his way through for his second score. The fans seemed to love the tension in the air, and are crying out for a rematch down the road! It was a very close-call 1-1 draw the first time these two teams met; this time, the humans were unable to use their speed advantage adequately. But there's always a next time...

Definite kudos to Allanon, the ogre given buzzing as our team handicap this game. His first two blocks thrown resulted in SI's, and he had the fear/respect of the chaos team the rest of the game. If it wasn't for him throwing double-skulls twice and failing his bone-head roll 3 times, he might have gotten even more.
