“This was one of those matches where the luck-percentage glowed with an insultingly high number. 51% -- no way!
It all began with nine rats in the match, and the stupid niggled rat ogre wouldn't go at first. A risky use of the apothecary ("Some drugs and he won't notice the broken tail.") before the first kickoff took care of that - an action I felt forced to make since eight rats against a full human wouldn't be a pretty picture...
The match started on a friendly manner, and even though I must admit I had some luck for the first touchdown I can't say that it was a lot - a ag4-dodgerat using both dodge-reroll and team-reroll will manage to dodge into one tz and pick up the ball.
The rest of the first half was a long and slow delaying-game, making first half end 1-0 for the rats (another turn and it'd been 1-1).
Second half started with a BH rat ogre. Guess the druggs were wearing off. Some delaying was made, but nothing really worked out. I'm sort of lucky, since I only got one SI instead of a bunch of RIP. The friendly tone of the game changed somewhat, however, due to a rather unneccesary foul on Dusty. The small (yet strong) rat stood up in the middle of humans assisting the fouler, picked up the whiskers laying in the field, and told his teammates to "do their stuff" if the opportunity would show (which it ought to be, since the ref was basically all on the rat side - nothing some nice cheesy gifts can't achieve). However, no foul play was done, team concentration was on getting a second (2-2) touchdown. A marbeles play ended abruptly when the so-called-sure-hands-thrower Squeaker failed to take a hand-over. Thus, the 1-3 ending of the match was certain.
Last turn of last half, in a kickoff with five players on the field, Fuzzy felt the rage of the loss and the bad treatment of his brother piling up until he just couldn't hold back. He made the second-last block of the match, sending Enguerand to another place.”
