“Finally, a much needed win for the Cthulhuinians against a tough Dwarf side. This was a real seesaw game that saw atrociously timed luck for both squads, and some funniness as well. The first half started with a great kick courtesy of Dhole that left the two teams in a titanic struggle for the ball that lasted 6 turns. Finally the dwarfs got it secured after a terrible scatter on yet another blitz by Shoggoth. The Runner tried to dodge for open field, but was tripped up by Shoggoth and the ball was loose yet again. Yog-Sothoth, who had been playing free safety, scooped up the ball and tossed it to the waiting Azathoth, who scampered in for the TD. Receiving in the Second Half, the Eternal Horrors managed to get 6 players into Dwarf territory, only to have Yog-Sothoth miss the throw completely. Luckily, the Dwarfs managed to roll consecutive Double-Skulls (1:1296 chance) before picking up the loose ball, and Shoggoth was able to grab it and get into the endzone. The Dwarfs then regrouped and drove for the end zone, reaching it relatively quickly. Time was too short, however, for them to get the equalizer, although they were able to sack Yog-Sothoth and were running for the endzone when the whistle blew.

MVP went to Azathoth for scoring the first TD, but my vote goes to Shoggoth who scored the winner, got the ball loose for the first TD, and was generally a threat to dwarf possession at all times.

Income was again weak (All I ever seem to roll is 2 for winnings), but I won a game, and the fans are also thrilled.

Whynot was a solid coach and great fun to play, and I would suggest a game against him any time.

I have decided to renew my devotion to Nuffle. After an untimely snake-eyes I screamed my defiance to him. The very next block by the Dwarfs killed The Fungi from Yuggoth, although the apothocary did save him. I take it as a warning, and promise to renew and increase my devotion to you, your fickleness.
