The Horn Spawns were missing several players from their last match, and another one niggled out. Then to top it off, Morley's Revenge reduced their on-pitch numbers even further. Inz did his best to even the odds--a pitch invasion bh'd one of my slayers, he bh'd two more and ko'd yet another, but in the end a lucky blitz by my runner stopped his scoring opportunity early. The crowd threw the ball back in where only my dwarves could reach easily, and so the half ended still scoreless.

Second half came, I outnumber him 11 to 7 I think it is, with several of his players not having block. So it was a fairly simple matter for my dwarves to open up a hole and go through, aided greatly by the skull block his mino threw. :-) (He then spent four turns before finally standing up again, but don't get me wrong--that mino was a pain! Both his cas were caused by that monster...) I thought it was clear sailing, but his agi 4 beastman decided to make like an elf, dodging around my players left and right to lay a horn-enhanced 2d block on my slayer! However, his efforts to dodge further only led to him bh'ing himself, so my dwarves felt content just holding the ball and attempting to pass back and forth for free completion spp's.

*sigh* I swore to myself I wouldn't be that type of dwarven coach, that I wouldn't stall for turn upon turn to ensure a victory, since it's boring for me and has to be boring for the other guy as well. But this is special; I'm preserving a string of consecutive shutout victories! The team's four games old; four shutouts and counting! I like how things are going for the team so far...
