“Wow, one of those games where it went right when it mattered most, no matter how unlikely. After my first pass got intercepted by a Chaos Warrior, in a TZ, he beat my team off the park and looked sure to score. Then in turn 7, with only 6 elves left, I put the ball carrier in the crowd on a 1db, pickup and throw a long bomb with my rookie line elf... a hand off and a few more gfis and it was 1-0.
Nightfall scored easily enough in the second, and I guess Kapten expected to get the winner, but with my KOd elves back (making a total of 8 on the pitch!) I was able to punch through his line, and then his beast fell over on a gfi, trying to put a TZ on my thrower. Even then my catcher couldn't manage to take the handoff, but next turn a line elf got the ball and the winner.
Shame the fans objected to our failure to cause cas, but otherwise a fun game - for me at least :)”
