Well, actually it didn't start too friendly as my new Line Elf got injured in the first drive... a little slower, he will be filling in on the LOS from now on :)
We didn't show the High Elves too much respect though, grabbing the ball right after kicking it... but we couldn't hang on to the damn thing, and an unlucky bounce off our stunned blitzer's head gave it back to the All Stars.
The half degenerated into a fairly un-elflike maul, and attrition wore us down until they scored in the 8th.
In the second we managed a lucky score in turn 3 - a failed dodge (1 rr 1) on the first action of turn 2 had made things a bit tricky...
Then it became a copy of the first, a last-ditch 1db that knocked out their ball carrier not proving enough to stop the winner...
Still, good game. And we'll have 11 players for the next one :)”
