“The Hellbringers looked to be in trouble at the start of the match when their Troll Smasher Vomitflesh pulled up too sore from an old niggling injury to start the match. To the surprise of everyone, the Hellbringers decided to use their only allotment of magical sponges to bring the big fella into the match!
This dangerous move payed off as the brute paid off in the end as the Hellbringers managed to win the game without suffering any thing more than some minor injuries to other players.
The Hellbringers were helped immensely on the opening kickoff through blitzing and pushing deep into the Hitch-Hiker territory. After a titanic struggle for the ball, the Hellbringers scored with about a quarter of the first period remaining, but dealing the Hitch-Hikers a nasty blow on the way through, when they pushed the veteran blitzer Arthur Dent into the crowd who promptly tore him to pieces!
The Hitch-Hikers had enough time to score an equaliser in the opening period, but were unable to push deep enough to score.
In the second half, the Hellbringers could only field 9 due to injuries, but managed to hold off the Hitch-Hikers by caging the ball and then slowly forcing their way upfield, and score a second TD to put the game out of the Hitch-Hiker's reach.

A tough decision that was to use the apoth on my Troll at the start. I have had a couple of rough games with this team recently (2 Bull Centaurs getting -1 Str, games where I fail 2 out of 3 niggle rolls to start the match), so decided that if I got trashed, I would retire this team and start over.
The blitz to start the game was a huge break in my favour, though I was rather unlucky when a 2 dice blitz with my new Bull Centaur on his Bitzer got a Skull + Skull/Pow and I got badly hurt on about turn 4!
Oh, the rain played a huge part in this low scoring affair as between the two of us, we failed about 6 attempts to pick up the ball with AG3 Sure Handed players.
The Hellbringers are now 17/3/2 and live to avoid the chop for another day. Don't know how long I will keep them though, as the niggle on the Troll is a huge part of my team strength gone if he fails his roll and all of a sudden I am hugely over matched. ”
