“Well, where to start? How about how the game started, with me receiving. Kickoff - BLITZ! He blitzes my best player - POW! SI! Apoth fails! Things go downhill from there.
Anyhoo, a few first die roll 1's later (with the last couple being turnovers as I'd used up my RR trying to avoid them earlier), and a second BLITZ and two PERFECT DEFENSE's later (although the perfect D's didn't matter much...it was 4 on 2, his LOS was already as good as it was gonna get...). The score was 8-0 with me receiving on my turn 7. BLITZ. He gets the ball (most of this match was in the rain, btw) and when my blizter fails (1,1) a dodge to get to the ballcarrier it is decided...9-0.
The replay is worth seeing, the sheer number of times someone on his team w/o tackle would POW my blodge blitzer was foul - I would guess he missed (only pushed) perhaps three times total all game (and 2 of those pushed him into another TZ, with a POW resulting from the block...)
However, don't get me wrong - I don't mean to whine, but rather to tell an entertaining story about a match that was, even for me, interesting to watch unfold - how bad could I roll? How high could he score? Watch the replay - I DID try to stop him whenever I could reach the ball carrier! And I did get it away from him a couple of times, but outnumbered 2 to 1 by blodgers with more MA than me - and who (almost) never fail to knock me down, there wasn't much else that could be done...
Perhaps my offense (weak attempts at offence, I should say) cause him to score more easily that necessary - but what else could I do? I couldn't get a thrower (sorry, THE thrower) far back enough to be out of (POW) blitz range, so a desperate pass to the LOS for a 3+ catch in TZ, followed by a mad blitz, dash and hope he doesn't POW me this time...then into the End Zone next turn was the best I could muster. Thing was, his luck didn't run out, but mine did...ah well...
At least the fans gave me props for not giving up easily...
