“It was a match long anticipated by the Stooges. Both teams were undefeated and ranked atop the MNF standings. The Stooges were confident in their ability, but facing any team coached by BadMrMojo is a guaranteed battle from start to finish.

Match opened with the Stooges receiving, but the Pacters were able to spring ahead and blitz before anyone saw ‘em coming. Luckily the ball was kicked deep enough that they couldn not quite reach it. Only real harm was the takedown of Larry the Wardancer. Fortunately his armor held and he was able to get up on his turn. The hit apparently dazed him more than he let on however as he failed to dodge into the open field (rolled a 1,1 of course) and stunned himself on the turf. Amid the curses of our coach and the cheers of BMM the Pacters lashed out at the standing Stooges. Moe the Ogre refused to go down and Curly the Tree managed to teach the Vonnie the blitzing mino a lesson about blocking. Runner Joe saw his chance and streaked as fast as his stubby legs would carry him to the midfield line. More hits were exchanged with no lasting harm done as a wheezing Joe ran in for the TD on turn 4.

The Pacters received with gutter runner Sterling Sharpe streaking for the endzone as his teammates hit everyone in sight. Curly failed his bonehead roll and was unable push the Mino with tentacles away from our wardancer. Lacking the strength necessary to break free of the tentacles the wardancer couldn’t blitz the Sharpe, and he scored easily on his next turn. With the clock counting down the Stooges received and tried to score. Joe however was so transfixed by the mino he accidentally threw the ball to its feet instead of his intended receiver Larry. On their turn the Stooges manage to get a clear route to the ball, but Joe stumbles trying to handoff to Larry. Half ends tied 1-1.

Second half opens and again Sharpe streaks for the endzone. Larry blitzes but fails to get a pow or push/pow on 6 dice. Vonnie shows he still has a thing or two to learn about blocking and hits himself on the head while blitzing Larry. Inspired Larry Blitzes Sharpe and finally gets the POW. Joe scoops up the ball and again dashes for the endzone. Vonnie gets right up and hits Joe but only pushes him back. Frenzied he tries to hit again but stumbles when trying to go for it. Joe seizes the opportunity and runs in for his second TD.

Pacters receive and this time Greener the Chaos Warrior runs downfield with the ball. Larry tries to prevent a handoff by hitting Sharpe but is surprised by the runner’s strength and instead goes to the turf, stunned. Greener runs in for an easy TD to tie the match. With a last chance to try and win, the Stooges leave Moe the Ogre on the bench if favor of Schemp the catcher. Eager to win for his team Schemp runs for the endzone only to be hit by Vonnie and smashed into the turf. Desperate, Larry manages to pick up the ball at Vonnies feet but is unable to break free of his tentacles. With no other choice left he lobs the ball to Schemp waiting in the endzone. The crowd goes wild as the Stooges win 3-2.

All told it was a tough match that could have went either way. As always, it was a pleasure playing BadMrMojo and will be eagerly anticipating the rematch.
