I knew I should have problem with this match as most of the elves got blodge and I only got one tackler.
I hoped for some juicy handicaps and I had hired both Lord Borak and a wizard and it should even things up, but the handicaps were pretty shitty (sponsership deal and iron man)
Flix had bad luck on the amrour/injury rolls when he dodged, else the blocks and armour/injury was pretty fair.
When it mattered Flix had more luck than me and in a close game like this that's what detirmines it.
I wasn't far from doing TD the first half but as soon as I tried to dodge with the ball I failed instantly.
The kick off table also worked against me and I only got one reroll once from my 5 higher ff and he got a perfect defense that ultimately resulted in a td after I failed two of three 2+ rolls in one action (AG4 CW going for blitz with GFI and reroll)
Turn 6 I managed to get free and were 2 steps from the endzone with no elves close by. I wanted to get a GFI though so I was 9 sqaures away from the closest blitzer but of course I failed it. Next turn there were noone nearby but I failed the 3+ pick up. The last turn only one elf marked my player and the ball and as I got my wizard left I cast lightning on that elf so he got prone. Again I failed the 3+ pick up.
So ultimately Flix got the most luck but at least my team was intact and I can say I was very close to getting this one to Overtime.
Congrats Flix for winning the EBBL first season!”
