The Squeakers started the game in offence, but a dropped pass in the backfield soon found the Pure Thought swarming all over the ball and the Skaven were staring at a 0-1 deficit only minutes into the game (2 turns each, and I was also down 2 rerolls - both failed!).

The Squeakers were forced to play defensively and used a semi cage to protect the ball before scoring late in the first period. The Thought had a difficult chance to score in the remaining time, but were unable to make the play come off.

In the second period, the Squeakers managed to steal the ball off the Thought and take the lead. With about half the period left, the Thought pushed deep, only to have the ball stolen off them! The ball bounced onto Squeaker Rat Ogre Fleshtearer who held onto the ball for a few crucial minutes.

Both sides struggled for the ball, but eventually it was Gutter Runner Thanquol who saved the match for the Squeakers by running first one way with the ball, and then back the other. The Thought were unable to knock the ball lose with their last second play and the Squeakers escaped with the win.
---------------
It was a very fun game. Both of us had some good and bad luck. In the first half, the ball got knocked loose from my player and landed on his Dragonwarrior who caught it and ran downfield to score. In the second, it landed on my Rat Ogre who caught it, and this gave me some breathing space.

It was quite a difficult game as the Thought have three Strength 4 players.

Anyway, Screener's parting words were, "One day, Malthor, one day!" LOL.
