Purely by accident, the wrong team dressed out for the match. Instead of the graceful elves who normally play, a group of shambling skeletons took the field. While the coach fumed and ranted on the sidelines the “elves” managed to trip, drop, fumble, and otherwise klutz themselves through to another loss.

In reality, THIS is the true team. The people who show up every once in awhile and manage not to roll double ones are the impersonators. They just stop in often enough to delude the coach into thinking there is some hope left.

Thanks to SerXes for a fun match, although laughing at ones own misfortune gets old in a hurry. Hopefully Nuffle will spread the love around a bit more next time!

The handicaps did nothing to even out this battle but at least one of the Warrioirs of Woes niggled.
The whole game was filled with turnovers and the ball changed sides a lot with only one touchdown ever being made.
In the first half the Northern Raiders were set for defense but thanks to the elfs fumbling the ball the norse players could start thinking offensively. The ball changed sides and lay loose for a while until finally the Northern Raiders could secure it on the Warriors of Woes half while most of the elfs were still on the other half. Both wardancers had been taken out of action (one KO and one crowdpushed) so the the norse decided to hold the ball for 2 turns and score at the final turn which they succeded with.
The second half started with a invasion from the elf fans due to the Raiders prior stalling tactics so the norse offense had a major setback making it possible for the Warriors to knock the ball lose. Some fierce battling from both sides and the ball rolling up and down the field without giving either of the teams the muchneeded touchdown. Both teams could score in their last turn with the ball loose but neither succeded.

An entertaining and very close game where the Northern Raiders came out on top from luck more than anything else.
