“The teams 100 match... Wanted a game with td's rather then slow gruiling grinds for a 1-0 score. So we decided to play the young and promising elf squad, who had some tallented prospects in their lineup.
Humidity in the air caused my 3 best players to be suffering from their injuries, and so with only 11 players to start against his 14, this would promise to be a hard task.
My opponent started out blazing, scoring quickly in 2 turns without giving me much of a chance. From there on out, his luck abandoned him. on my way to a turn 5 tying td, i SI'd 2, wasting the apo and then killed his str3 catcher... The first half ended in a midfield skirmish with the undermanned elves, hiding behind their treeman, and resulted in 2 more BH and another RIP to conclude the first half. Start of the 2nd saw me recieving again. I managed to take the lead in turn 3, but not after killing his star thrower a turn earlier. It was the Elves turn to set up their offense, and again, my rotters were unable to stop the agile little elfs. I managed to make a lucky TD in turn 8 without rerolls, as my opponent had stolen the ball a turn earlier. Fittingly, that player was SI as well and like most, not even by a player with mighty blow.
I had pretty much all the luck in this one, i played fair but his guys kept getting hurt. An extremely good game for me, considering 10 of my 11 available players got spp's in this one.
