“As said, the match was one of very few mistakes and great coaching. The Darlkelf Block, dodge sidestep combo stood very well agianst the tackle less Saurus'. A risky play in the first drive made it possible for the lizzards to break and make it 1-0. The equalizer was easily scored, but then a lucky kick and a placement mistake made it possible for the Delfs to score to 1-2, and the game was exiting agian. The 2 turn TD was questionable as it needed a 3+ without a re-roll to be successfull. This was done, however, and the score was 2-2. Making the second half really exiting. Taking it slowly the lizzards moved down the half, not stalling but being kept from scoring by the outnumbered elves due to great coaching, the leap which BH the ballcarrier opened a huge gap in one side of the field, which made it quite easy for the lizzards to get the 3-2 TD, but it also left 4 turns for the elves to score.
After switching sides in the second turn the balllcarrying blitzer blitzed back a skink and dodged 2 times on a 3+ to reach the endzone and get the TD for 3-3.
With 1 turn left the lizzards needed a oneturner. This was made very diffucult by the fact that no less than 3 sidesteppers stod on the LoS. With a mistake or 2 from the defending coach it was, however deemed possible, but a perfect defense eliminated the small chance of a win.
The game ende 3-3, a fitting result in my opinion. Both coaches showed great plays and it was exiting to the end.”

The Lizards outnumbered us all game as we niggled out our better passer and took a quick casualty on our sad AV6 Witch Elf.
The first few turns saw us with 31% luck and the score 1-0 against us as we were pretty shabby coming out of the starting gate and the lizards took the ball from us and scored in rapid fashion.
We scored an equalizer pretty quickly..and then took the ball from the lizards after a well placed kick made it tough for them. But we capitalized on this with a TD too quickly as the lizards managed a 2 turn score though it was pretty close...we were 3 elves short on defense and misread a block making our critical blitz a 1 die affair and predictably unsuccessful.
The second half started with a 2-2 tie and us kicking. The lizards stalled for a few turns and reduced our numbers nicely..down to 6 I believe. We finally managed to leap in and free the ball but our numbers were too few to do anything with it. This seemed to put a scare into the little fellows however as they wasted no further time scooting down the field to make it 3-2.
This left us with 4 turns to score and fortunately we got back all of our KO's which should have made things fairly easy...
But the lizards put up a formiddable defense and we barely snuck through on turn 7! In retrospect, I probably took too many chances on that score as I could have held the ball another turn...maybe.
At any rate I'd say Lorion is an excellent lizard coach, one of the best!
