The Bastardz started powerfully, smashing many of their opponents onto the ground or into the KO bin as they forced their way forwards using a cage. Seeing that the opposing team did not seem to know what they were doing, the Bastardz thought the game was too one sided and sent some of their coaching staff over to the Night's Young to help them out!

The Bastardz also chose to score rather than delay and this ended up costing them a victory, as the Young managed to pull off a great TD (long bomb, coupla dodges, GFIs with no reroll!).

The second half saw the Young push forward and eventually make a pass downfield where they threatened to score. After a titanic struggle for the ball, the Young managed to recover it again, and throw a TD pass to steal the lead.

With under half of the second period remaining, the Bastardz lined up against only 7 of the Young... with 3 Thralls knocked out, and 3 Vamps out snacking on the crowd. The Vamps played tough defence and the Bastardz had to make no mistakes to get the ball deep into Young territory to secure the draw.

Man I am too nice sometimes. I realised partway through the first half that my opponent didn't know how Hypnotic Gaze worked, and kept reminding him to use it, and how to Blitz, Gaze the guy in front of you and hit someone else, etc etc. He was a quick learner and used that advice to pound me all over the place!

He also had some very nice rolls for passes and dodges late in the second half and mostly through the second. The only bit of bad luck was a failed GFI to score on turn 3 in the second half, but he managed to score on turn 4 anyway, so it hurt him more than me (one less turn to get a draw with no rerolls left).

I had a shocking run with the dice in the second half. First turn got a double skull/pow with a BOB to start the blocks, and after rerolling that, 3 blocks later my Blitzer got a double Skulls!. The other reroll was burnt in similar fashion.

A fun game regardless of me coaching myself out of .32 coach rating LOL.
