“This game looked like a huge mismatch, but surprisingly it was extremely close. Too close in fact, as the Bastardz only just managed to score the winning TD late in the second half.

The Food Fighters played some amazing defence in the first half despite having 3 players badly hurt and another 3 KOd early. In fact, they managed to sack the ball carrier twice (both times getting two pows on two dice I choose!).

In the second half, the Food Fighters two Treemen both turned up and caused havoc, quickly injuring line Ork Gurk Bigtoof as the plucky little fellows managed to throw a long bomb and catch the pass and sprint into the end zone!

With less than half of the second period remaining, the Bastardz pushed deep trying to score the winning TD. It was not easy as the Food Fighters refused to give up, and killed the Bastardz Black Orc Blocker!

However, the Bastardz still managed to score the winning TD just thanks to a quick pass and catch in the dying seconds of the game.

It was a very tough game thanks to the great rolling of my opponent who sacked my ball carrier with crazy blocks. I kept getting skull/pows with my blocks and had to use rerolls to preserve field position, then dropped catches etc. My Sure Hands reroll failed me at least twice with no tackle zones.

This team has had a cursed run. First game, a Line Elf with no skills dodges into tacklezones, dodges out, GFI twice to blitz my Thrower, gets a one dice pow and gets -1 Str on my Thrower. I didn't have an apothecary.

I buy a Black Orc Blocker with the money so I have 11 players for game 2.

Game 2 is against the Vampires coached by my opponent today. I discover after the game starts that he only has 1 Fan Factor, and at the end of the match earn a lousy 30K. 10K short of buying an Apothecary. And I would have won that game if I hadn't been telling my opponent what he was doing wrong in the first half, instead I got a draw due to my kindness (stupidity? LOL).

So this is Game 3, and I have a player missing the next game, and the death of an 80K player LOL. Not enough money to replace him AND get an Apoth. Bought a Black Orc Blocker so have 40K. Have to get through the next match with my Strength 2 Thrower without anything worse than one MNG and I will be ok...

To date, I have caused 6 CAS, all badly hurts. I have had 5 CAS against me. 2 BH, 2 SI, and a Death. No apoth :((( the dice hate me LOL.
