“My opponent sprang a nasty surprise on me in the form of hiring Ramtut, the ST6 star Mummy. Doubly nasty given the fact that I asked him before the game what he'd do with all that cash. He told me that he'd be buying a Re-Roll. After which I agreed to accept his challenge. I myself told him I'd hire one extra zombie for the LOS.
He failed to mention that he was about to hire someone too.
Someone slightly *understatement* more game-dominating than a skill-less zombie.
In the discussion immediately after me seeing the 'surprise' we agreed not to agree on what to think of this behaviour.
First half; his drive.
After a few turns I got to blitz his ball-carrier with my strip-balling wight and even knocked him over. The ball scattered to a zombie whom (in pouring rain!) actually caught it. In the ensuing scrap I fouled his prone Werewolf once (without dp; I have no dp among all my teams) because he'd end up next to my ball-carrier. (the zombie had already moved as an assist to the blitz)
I managed to hold him off while slowly moving to the middle of the field where I handed off the ball to a ghoul whom rushed forward and scored.
2nd half; my drive.
After a moderately unsatisfactory first turn for me he rushed deep in my half with both wolves and a wight. (Thus overextending himself.)
I handed off the ball to my MA8 ghoul whom sped to the endzone. Only one enemy ghoul (without tackle) could reach him with gfi's.
In my turn I blitzed with ghoul in my tackle-zone with the ball-carrying ghoul.
A push would have been enough (what I reckoned it would be anyway) but I actually knocked him over. And scored 2-0 with only 4 turns for him left.
When I actually badly hurt Ramtut with my mummy (yay!) it was all but hopeless for him.
A very pleasing 2-0 if I might add.
Doubly so since he had that ST6 starplayer.
