“Seems I've been hurting after every game today! My slayers seemed to not be able to make their Dauntless rolls (faild more than I succeeded on them)...as a result, one died (no spp's anyway, so no big deal).

I did have some luck, as the 2 handicaps I recieved actually worked well..one orge was arrested (it wasn't me!) and I got bribe the ref which allowed me to set up 12 players on the 1st drive..so when Dgal Died, I still had 11 on the pitch. Then, early on, I did BH an ogre, so he was down to 'onlly' 5 ogres early in the game. Then I started to pick on the Goblins, getting several of them off the pitch due to injuries.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the Ogres were not happy about it, and caused 2 niggles as well as the death (oh, and my apoth did fail!).

Enough of the casualtiy report. The Miners were able to score twice, once in each half, fairly easily as the ogres were busy Smashing in the middle of the field, and the goblins were being knocked around by my longbeards.

My Str 4 runner gained a strength, so all was not lost in the game...wonder if I can change his name? hmmm..

it was a good game, and I was able to buy a new longbeard with the winnings...but next game I've only got 10 players to start.
