I'm not going to attribute this victory to skill as the PI put 5 guys into stun and 1 into ko if I remember right. after that I marched my BOs and a blitzer to the goal. There was a big scuffle that ended in a pass to an open lino for the TD. It wasn't as easy scoring as I thought it would be. That ratty speed harassed me every step of the way.

The second half wasn't very competitive. I had an iron grip on the ball after an early turnover, and proceeded to burn time trying desperately to give the ball to a BO. I wouldn't have done something so... silly and risky if I wasn't in the lead, but when you are... why not? Well played and gg. :)

Pretty simple match...PI on his opening kickoff levelled nearly my entire playing field, allowing him to cage up the ball before I could do anything to stop him, then he slowly marches downfield to score. Second half, I receive, but the pivotal part of my offense--a blitz by my str 6 rat ogre--fails when he decides to rage. Instead of being smart and playing it safe, stupid me decides to risk dodging around his players towards the goal anyway, trusting in my blodge to protect my gutter (why should it, though? He'd rolled POW every time he hit him til now...).

Double-1's stopped that idea fast, though, and now all my rats are out of position to stop him from caging up again. Although I make him earn the advance, he's eventually able with a lot of stuns on my guys to bust loose and forward. A timely crowdpush of my gutter allows him to play reckless with the ball, trying to handoff the ball to his black orc for a skill instead of taking the easy score. Despite his failing several times, I could do nothing about it, as my rat ogre kept rolling 1's on his blitzes and raging instead of helping. Will have to talk to that boy...

I put myself into position to require too many dice rolls, and double 1's stopped 5 of my second half drives, negating any shot I had at scoring an equalizer. Maybe next time I'll play a little smarter...
