“I challenged these higher ranked wood elves hoping for a useful handicap and figuring that my tacklers and strip ballers would help to equalize matters. However, all the tackle in the world won't matter if you only roll pushes; strip ball can't work if you can't get near the ball carrier. Sure, the handicap was (very) mildly useful, keeping one or two of his elves off the pitch each kickoff, but as I never got any cas til 2:7 and his ko's kept awaking immediately this never mattered, he always had a full 11 man squad each kick, including his tree who showed up at game start. (Why can't my own woodie treeman ever do that?)

Game long blizzard til turn 7 second half heavily favored the elves, as their agi 4 all around (except where he had agi 5 on several guys) allowed him to move the ball around with impunity, even to the point of intercepting a pass...

...he was recording POWs on my blodgers; I was getting pushes on his skill-less rookies...

...he was completing passes and dodges; I didn't succeed at a 3+ w/rr attempt til the second half...

...his ko's came back after every score (mostly his scores, and precious few ko's ever caused). My rat ogre got ko'd by a rock to start the game, came back in for barely a couple turns til he fell trying to break tackle (with str 6!) and got fouled back into the ko box, where he remained for the rest of the game...

This all made for a VERY long game where nothing I did seemed to go right til the very end, when I think he took pity on me and allowed me to score my second touchdown to get my skill and hopefully avert a ff decrease (no good--we both rolled a 1 in that department), when he could easily have stopped me yet again, esp when my agi 4 gutter twice failed to 2+ pickup the ball, using up all my rr's; one more dodge or whatnot and I would've failed miserably to score.

Poor Circles II, he got killed in turn 1 of the second half, way too early to use the apo on an agi 2 linerat. May his replacement Circles III finally bring a little bit of luck to the name; the first two have died horrible deaths on the pitch.

Uber, maybe I was a bit too rash trying to play up to you just yet, but you must admit Nuffle favored you this game. Who's to say our rematch he won't favor me instead? I hereby challenge you to a rematch...somewhere down the road...”
