“Probably the ugliest game of Blood Bowl every played by two new Elf Teams.

The Wreckers started in offence, but lost the ball in the backfield after Guardians Wardancer Caladriel Stormbringer blitzed the ball carrier, then passed the ball to Taldoris Swiftwind to take the lead.

The next kickoff saw the Guardian fans storm the pitch and kill the ref because he didn't have his shirt tucked in! The game then became an ugly ugly brawl as the Guardians resorted to heavily fouling to try and gain an advantage since one of their players was lost to a brutal block.

The Guardians were unable to stop the Wreckers from scoring, but did reduce them to 9 players. The Guardians had one difficult chance to score in the dying seconds of the first quarter but the nominated receiver failed to make a simple dodge.

In the second half, the Guardians received and started the drive with a crummy block that saw both the hitter and his target hit the astroturf.

Unfortunately for the Wreckers, their player was knocked out, whilst the Guardians player was only knocked over. The Wreckers pushed foward hard, and it looked like they trapped a player on the sidelines, ready to push him out of bounds.

However, careful maneouvering by the Guardians saw two Wrecker players pushed out instead! Down to only 7 players vs the Guardians 10, the Dark Elves had no choice but to retreat whilst the Guardians tossed the ball between each other whilst slowly advancing the ball downfield in the blizzard like conditions.

Ugly ugly match. Had to resort to what most call unsporting play to secure the win... ie foul heavily, and stall - took me the entire 8 turns to score in the second half.

Justice was served when my opponent got +1 FF and 3 advances and I got none :).

Still my opponent learnt some new strategies in this game and didn't have too bad a time. ”
