“This wasn't so much a game as it was a rout. I didn't realize the state of my opponent's team when I challenged him for my new Scions' inaugural match; I thought he had lost his first game, lost a player in the process, would be largely intact and rookie. Silly me--he'd played 8 games ere I came along, and had gained multiple skills, though also losing multiple players along the way. By the time he came to me, there were only 7 players remaining. A couple cas and ko's later, and we outnumbered the rats at least 2:1 the rest of the match. Even rookies can succeed given those odds!

Glad there wasn't any permanent damage done, his team can start to get his collective feet back under him for the future. Meanwhile, two linemen got skills (one a +str!), no injuries to my side (other than the thrown rock bh, but that pales to the PI against him...two ko, stunning the remaining three on the pitch...easy pickings for me when he's receiving). Good winnings, more fans, three skills, could easily get a couple more next game...can't ask for anything more out of a first game for a team! Maybe a shutout win, which we would've had, if not for some insane dodging by his thrower to pick the ball up in tz and take off for paydirt. Impressive show of stubbornness despite it all. Granmoff just made it to my golden list of coaches. :-)”
