“That was quite some game.
The result does not reflect how close the match actually was.
The game started with the Bloodhorns recieving, but their offence was hampered by a quickly reorganized defence which made in hard to punch a hole through. After much had fighting all over the field, Zaphrod Kneecap founds suddenly the nball in his hands and blitzed his way downfield. He managed to shake off many vicious counterattacks, before he blitzed a Ghoul who dared to stand in his way and scored the leading TD.
In return the Tomblords opened a gap in the defence and managed to position a Ghoul for an equalizer, but Manfred Maniac showed his exceptional defence qualities and knocked him down effectively denying the Tomblords a TD.
The Undead recieved again at the very start of the second half, but were confronted with a solid defence plan and thus the Bloodhorns moved three players downfield before the Tomblords had a chance to react.
Hardly pressed, the Tomblords slowly gained the upper hand in the erupting midfield melee koing many Bloodhorn players including bothChaos Warriors. Still, we managed to keep up the pressure and a fumbled recieve leads to a turnover and the opportunity to get into ball possession, which was promptly managed by Bill the Butcher who started his long and hazardous run downfield.
Against all odds he shook off several blitz attempts conducted by a handful of Ghouls and blitzed himself his way to the Endzone to score another TD for the Bloodhorns in the third play.
The Tomblords started another offensive drive, eager to get a draw out of this match and particulary their Mummies got mean, causing a life threatening injury on Sloan Scarface while our apo refused to treat him mumbling something about "necessary sacrifice to the gods".
Obviously, the sacrifice appleased the Four Mighties and another turnover led to possession once again. Willy One-Eye scored the third TD for the Bloodhorns after shaking off a desperate Ghoul attack for the 3 : 0 lead on the seventh play.
Though the Tomblords didn't have a chance to score, they took the opportunity to wreak some havoc on their last play and smashed Fast Eddy's hip.
Well, despite that hard fought victory, Fans continue to fart in our general direction. Those bad FF rolls are just starting to get unpleasant.
