“The Avengers originally declined the Hellbringer's invitation to play, but then changed their mind as their coach wanted to add Malthor's scalp to his collection.
The rain started in rainy conditions, and stayed that way the whole match, giving the Avengers a huge advantage. In fact, the Hellbringers struggled to pick up the ball almost the entire match.
The first period saw the Hellbringers in deep trouble as the Avengers pushed deeper and deeper into their backfield whilst the Hellbringers Hobgoblins fumbled with the ball in the mud, knocking it this way and that.
The Hellbringers finished the half without even remotely looking like they could score a TD, whilst the Avengers threatened to steal the ball and score several times.
The match looked over when the Hellbringers made a huge tactical error when they sent a Bull Centaur charging down the backfield towards the Avengers thrower whilst leaving the whole right side of the pitch open. The Avengers thrower easily avoided the Bull Centaur, ran down the right and threw the ball to Joseph Ghoulglove and his companions formed a screen around him and escorted him to the end zone.
With little time left in the game, the Hellbringers pushed deep with Bull Centaur Tzorak and threw the ball to him, but he was unable to make the catch in the wet conditions. The Avengers then flattened Tzorak and surrounded him and the all with 3 players.
In the dying seconds of the match, Tzorak stole a draw by dodging in front of two players, and picking up the slippery ball (needed a 4+ to dodge using Break Tackle, and a 6+ to pick up the ball), then dodged away from the two Avengers defenders, and sprinted (3 GFIs) into the end zone to tie the game!

A very close game. The rain made it hell hard for me, as die Squaq's Piling On Witch Elf in the second half as she kept taking out my Hobbos.
It was a very silly move to charge my Bull Centaur so deep into the end zone when I couldn't hit his thrower, or even lay a tackle zone on him. That cost me the lead, and it was only through some very lucky rolls that I managed to steal a draw.
