Well Nig was not too impressed with me after this game. I apologize for the stall but i'd been on a bad streak with my other teams and turned to the good ol' reliable leg breakers for a win. As with most games against elf teams I was happy as heck that they were to get the ball first. Nig replied in good elf fashion and began moving down field with intent. I thought i had done a good job of containment but lost track of his ag 5 lineman who picked the ball up after a tackle loosed it, and drilled another lineman in the endzone with a pass for the score. I received the ball and it landed beside my trust Str 4 blitzer. I had lined up for a top-side run, and things were looking good. After about 4 turns of bashy crashy orc ball up the field, ol' Vishnak burst out for his 4th TD. So that was the end of the first half, and I was getting the ball back. I formed up for a middle wedge, got the ball and tucked ol' vishnak into the pocket. I then proceeded to slap nightelves around for 6 turns, without moving the ball more than 4 squares in this period. This is what p/o'd nig... the stall... he was unable to do anything more than push back the occasional bob and whack my thrower about 6 times. After I'd knocked 4 elfs off the pitch i decided to burst out again... this time with my other 3 blitzers as cover. Manglebone the ogre kept the elves scrambling, as did my BOBs... making sure there were no standing elves at the end of the turn. So vishnak, with his escort, stalled 1 step from the endzone thru turn 7, and then plopped over in turn 8. Classic orc strat against a better skilled team. Can argue with the style... but if theres a better way to beat elfs, i dont know it.
