Good game, lots of action and by no means skewed to one play-style over the other (the elves were unable to play their passing game and the dwarfs unable to do their slow grind towards the Endzone). I had lots and lots of trouble with Baraim, with virtually nothing in the Wood Elf arsenal to bring down a ST5 runner, but he still had to bite the grass a few times. Though my opponent regretted apothing him for his BH, I think the game would have much closer without him and hence it was probably the wiser thing to do.

It was an uphill struggle for the Rural Runners, with my opponent getting perfect defense on my starting kickoff, essentially ruining any chance of a quick opening TD.

Good game - and we should definitely do a rematch sometime.

BTW: I donĀ“t mind playing against dwarves - hell, the game is there to play and I find these games (with very different team-types) to be overall more exciting.

Wow...a Wood Elf team challenges a Dwarf team on Fumbbl...I had thought that was a thing of the past now. Anyway, the game was a very good one. It was a fight for the ball all game long and the Miners were lucky to come out on top in the end.

Though, the Runners' coach might need to look a little closer at the opposing players before declaring a blitz, as early in the game it got him when he blitzed my Str 5 runner with just one assist.

Luckily, there were no permanent injuries in the game (the death was apothed).

I took a chance I hardly ever do when I apothed Baraim on turn 4 of the 1st half when he got BH'd. I figured I needed the str 5 and with no mightyblow on the Wood Elfs, I took the chance that he'd survive the game. Sweated that out till the end I did...I shouldn't have done it.

And no, it wasn't a dwarven cage and move up slowly while pounding..It was a fairly wide open game with very few turns ending with a cage for either team. Baraim is a great asset to this team...Mv6 Str 5 ag 3 AV7 with Sure hands/block/tackle causes alot of problems for most opponents. And usually ties up alot of resources.

The 2 BH's didn't happen until my very last turn..my guys got brutal then with a couple of KO's and stuns also, trying to prevent a Wood Elf score, but it was to no avail, as they were able to get in for the Score to keep from being shut out.

Don visited the doctor to have his bad Knee looked at..and was able to get it fixed..but it turns out that is why he was so hard to move, as his Knee would lock up on the field and you couldn't budge him at all..now that the Knee is better, he no longer becomes rooted in the spot (retired him and bought him back to get rid of a niggle..but he, of course, loses stand firm)

Up to 4 guards now, so I really feel like a proper Dwarf team now.
