Well firstly congrat's to Soranar for the win, and second <i>"Up Yours Nuffle!"</i>
Well this game kinda left the Fumbbl Thugz behind very early in the piece.
Having to start with only 10 players due to our previous match was too much for the Thugz to cop, Soranar's Norse men where relentless as they continually put the Thugz players into either the KO or BH box.
The first Kickoff saw the Thugz attempting to play defence without the benifit of an eleventh man. The defence held for awhile but was unable to block the opposing players down ( Skull/Pushfest ) let alone contain there outside run game. About Halfway of the first half saw the Starks score there first TD and the Thugz burn up there RR's on crappy block's.
The ensuing kickoff resulted in some Norsemen trickery as they BLITZED us on the kickoff and gave our lads on the LOS a belting...despite the blitz we managed to protect the ball for a few turns till they poured through what was left of our boys and smashed poor annachie our thrower.
The half ended 1-0 and despite our ineffective blocking, our lack of bodies to field, or our overall lack of luck. The boys still felt like they had a chance atleast of a draw.... Silly Fools!
Second Half...we recieved.
Or rather we were supposed to but as fate would have it the Starks effectivly recieved an onside kick...Yep! Blitz AGAAAAIN!
With the ball landing only 2 squares from the LOS the Starks attacked. Taking full advantage of there fortune, again they belted the remaining Thugz players into the dirt leaving few players able to mount an effective counter attack. It was'nt long before they found an opening in the defensive line and poured through for another TD.
Unfortunatly on the next kickoff the Thugz offence could'nt even move the ball due to a lack of bodies on the field, so contented themselves instead to trying to stem any further embaressment by protecting the ball till the game was over.
Well at fulltime it's 2-0 and the Thugs have yet to live up to there name. Atleast we've got a full roster again and some decent cash. Maybe we can actually be competative next time we play...
