Not much to say that Trif hasn't already commented.

The rats didn't get much help from the handicaps and needed some help from nuffle to have a good chance of beating the experienced elves.

But lady luck shined on the elves today, which lead to a comfortable 5-2 victory. Trif took it pretty well anyway, and I'm sure that our next game will be a lot harder.

4 tds from the coming superstar Tyson who rolled a nice +str after the game. King Hippo III then made it to superstar this game, he failed the ageing roll as expected, but rolled -ag instead of a niggle, so he will still be pretty useful.

***EDIT***

ok, i've had a shower, and i feel better, so i'm gonna do this again. i'm gonna leave the original below, because some of it does make sense, and it's probably a good read =)

to be honest, going into this match i should have really expected to lose. playing up in TR, TS, and coach rating, and having just got up, it was probably a lost cause. but add to that the poor dice, and a headache, and you get the following =)

***EDIT***

the most unenjoyable match in any format that i have played EVER.

when you take into account that sideshowbob was a perfect opponent in every way, it kinda puts into perspective just how shitty the rest of the game was. of the 4 handicaps i got, greased shoe lasted just two turns, mickey finn was never even an issue, the appearance fee was only 10000 (he didn't pay it) and the iron man went to the rat ogre!!! he didn't block the rat ogre once. why the fuck would he? so they all sucked.

he scored in two turns, quite well. not really good luck, just good coaching. then on the next set up he got a blitz! result. we attempted to recover, but he scored again. 2-0 down after 4 turns. they'd had 5 turns, we'd had 3. it felt like we'd been ripped off. we managed to score, using up the last of our rerolls, and then they scored again, without using any.

second half, and we received, scored, back to 3-2. and then the arse fell out of our game completely. we conceded 3 TD through various means, we failed 2+rolls as often as bears shit in the woods, and for every POW they rolled we rolled a knockback.

and then he killed the st3, ag 5 runner. after it didn't matter, and just to rub it in. the apo worked, but by that point i really wouldn't have cared.

when you consistently roll worse dice than your opponent, consistently roll knockbacks to thier POWs, when you consistently watch in amazement as 3,4,5 critical dice rolls in a row for the opposition team miraculously come off, only for them to fail an insignificant dodge roll right at the end of the turn when it doesn't matter.........

i would rather knock my own teeth out with a rusty spanner than go through that again.

Punch Out were a good team to play, and i wouldn't hesitate to play them again, but really.... i almost put my fist through the monitor.
