“A packed out crowd was on hand to witness the first game between the spartak and the cowboys. The opening drive saw Spartak open up the field and with a deft lob from the backfield score the opening TD. The cowboys the drove the ball deep into spartaks half only to have it knocked loose and returned up the field for a 2-0 halftime lead. The enthusiastic Wood elf fans invaded the pitch on the half time kickoff, injuring 4 cowboys players. Cool head prevailed however and the cowboys moved the ball downfieldand manged to cut the lead back to one TD. However the day belonged to skilled elves of spartak who cunningly took adavantage of a depleted defence to put the game away with a quick fire score. Well played and coached on both sides of the pitch, this game was exactly what the NBBA needed in its first week of competition. Hopefully the rest of the season will see many more exciting games played by these two exotic elven franchises.
