“pretty good game overall, honestly should have lost that one, my one saving grace being my opponent's overall shortage of players, it could not have been easy to hold out with an already fairly short roster with upwards of 5 players off the field against my players at full strength.. My overall luck wasnt entirely fantastic, but it really did pull through where it counted, winning me a few crucial rolls and in particular, allowing me to nab the ball and score a TD where otherwise he would have probably scored in the next turn.
fun overall, however, and i look forward to trying this one again sometime in the future”
“Two cas in the game's first two turns, including one of my witches...three ko's in the first three turns, one who won't wake up til 2nd half turn 7; please explain to me how I can have over 70% luck at this point? We got out-played by the dice this game, as will happen occasionally. My opponent made good when it counted, didn't make any crucial mistakes. But a double-1 by my agi 5 lineman dodging to throw an easy touchdown pass not only cost us one score, but sent it the other way for a same-turn score. More 1's on failed dodges/gfi's burned up my rr's something fierce, until the final 1 insult came when I was down 3-2, one turn remaining, trying to pass to my witch who'll make a spectacular series of dodges for paydirt and the tying score (theoretically). Never happened, as my agi 5 lineelf, needing 2+ to pass, rolls yet another 1. Game over.
Most comical moment of the game came mid-first half, when he fouls my remaining witch, stunning her and getting ejected at the same time. In retaliation, I foul one of his blitzers with 4 elves supporting, only get a stun and I, too, am ejected from the game. Quite amusing at the time, although in retrospect it was the dumbest thing I could have done, as I was already undermanned and this cost me yet another elf for the rest of the game. Quite possibly, his presence/absence cost me the game. Though maybe not--he was rolling POWs left and right, taking down my blodgers with alarming regularity without tackle. Heck, he was getting 1d POWs by complete rookies on my blodgers to take them down! Not a pretty game...
But the final insult came in the post-game skill rolling, when my lineman ages -str on only his second skill roll. Pathetic, especially since my lousy winnings means I am now down to only 10 elves next match, including two rookie linemen. Could be ugly, and result in the team's second ever loss (this being the first)...”
