“I agree that this enjoyable game was made so purely due to superior numbers. The elves were "man-to-man" far superior and propably also coach-to-coach, but casualties made and more players meant that I just won it. Cudos to AFK_Eagle for almost pulling a tie and sorry that your team was even more shattered after than before.

“Lack of numbers cost us this game. Even so, we almost pulled it off, but alas, a skull on a blitz w/o rr in turn 8 niggled a witch and ended our hope to rally for the tying score. Guess it was just her match to go--she was apo saved from a RIP in turn 2 of the match. Had I known her destiny, I might have saved the apo for use on our blodging lineman who killed himself failing a dodge. Our agi 5 lineman had better take this as a wake-up call, too--yes, he's the most agile of the team, but 1's will cause even agi 5 players to fail ball pick-ups (once) and passes (twice).
I know I ranted about retiring the team towards the end of the match, but I'm glad I've made it policy to wait at least a few hours after the last game before ever doing something so drastic to a team. I've lost a couple still-promising teams due to fits of rage-induced retirements. I think I'll hang onto this team just a while longer, as even though we're undermanned (only 10 elves this game, only 9 elves for next) we're still competitive, next game should generate multiple skills (if everybody survives for a change--we're losing players with av 8 faster than my woodies used to!), but the real clincher was rolling 6 on both ff and winnings this match, allowing me to upgrade from lineman to blitzer for next game.
I demand a rematch down the road, when we have a few more players on our roster!”
