“Evil Coach and Necromancer Z was a little worried at the start of the match. He knew the opposing coach, and had played against him before with the Sinners. However, instead of speedy little goblins, he was looking at the rough powerhouse of the saurii and the blindingly fast skinks.

So he set up Misik, who was still trying out his new body, in assault mode. Misik was to run around hammering the tough scaly saurus. However, Misik was caught unawares by a Saurus who blitzed just before the whistle blew, and was badly hurt.

This put a lot of pressure on the existing Sinner line, which lost one of the fastest players on the field. Nevertheless, Barich managed to score a little later, waiting for anybody else to come and take the ball from him. He knew that he was well trained... but the others were not receiving any training. He was forced to score as the lizardmen got too close for comfort.

The Sinners then had the task of halting Dinotopia from scoring in a few turns, which they barely managed to do by the skin of their teeth... good placement of the tacklers halted the little skinks quickly.

The second half started with Getting The Ref, which neither player really worried about, though a saurus did kick Barich while he was down. He almost broke through the thick hide that covered Barich, before Pterodactyl scored.

Setting up, with a few turns to go and the score tied at 1-1, the Sinner quickly set up a game plan. A lucky hit from Corporal Drelosyn knocked out the Tyrant Lizard King, and Ichtheosaurus was fouled with most of the team standing there. From that point, the Sinners controlled the field, with a lot of the Lizards flying off the field, either Knocked out or injured. However, disaster struck! Barich handed Dyer the ball so that he could score, but Dyer dropped it! This gave Dinotopia the chance they needed, but alas, their Break Tackle Saurus tripped, and fell. This gave Igar the room to scoop up and score right before the whistle blew. Final score, 2-1. The Sinners had won, but the Lizardmen fans did not appreciate them much.

Once again, I enjoyed a marvellous game vs Shaqpooh. We have a sort of history with the Sinner team, and we generally had a good time. The second part of the first half was punctuated with us discussing chain-pushing strategies and doing crazy things, generally having a blast. We became a little more serious in the second half, but it was still a very fun game.

I had to use a tactical foul, which I feel bad about, but it secured the victory that I was trying to get with this team. I know that the rest of the games will be hard, with 3 of them being dwarven races... My only hope is that Misik gets some points before I meet up the dwarven forces... or I may be in some trouble...
