Although not exactly classic Elfbowl, the unorthodox caging of the Service worked to perfection, turning over two tds which we were helpless to stop. The first took up most of the first period, almost dwarven by design; a more typical long run and pass just before half time had made it 1-1.

But a terrible mistake by our thrower at the start of the second period allowed a Dark Elf linesmen to whip the ball off his feet and over the line for a reverse, followed by another turnover and cage for 3-1.

A really good game, very ball-focused play from both sides creating my favourite match of the group stage. The only time luck really made an impact was for Freakish's 2nd, other than that it was all down to strategy. Good luck to Santa's Secret Service, in with a fair shot at the title if they continue like this :)”
