#1 Quenintal Prnikus – Smashed Knee (NI)
My team crippled beyond recognition by a previous encounter with some orcs resulting inmy team being short 5 players. Luckily for me Eagle knew I needed a farily heafty recovery game and so played me with a team that was also down some players and had a high ff meaning that I might get enough cash to replace some of my lost players. Needless to say i wasnt to happy when on the first turn he caused a RIP on my storm vermin, which left without an apoth for the whole game. Eagle pretty much covered everything the game was full of failed opertunites and lucky grabs, in the end I was quite lucky to get the tree TD's, I'm sure if Eagle hadnt had such rotten luck he would have swept me away easily. I was none to happy about the niggle but hey, watcha ganna do :) .

A game which should've been an easy victory slipped through our grasp along with the rain-soaked ball... A game-long downpour made ball control tricky at best, but you'd figure a team full of agi 4/5 players should do better than agi 3/4, right? Sorta...his surehanded thrower botched several pickups in the open field, then manages to make a 5+/4+/4+/3+ dodge/pickup-in-tz sequence to take the ball up and throw it to his gutter for a score. Then my agi 5 player failed his ball pickup 3 times, while I had at least 5 dropped passes by players needing 3+ (due to the rain). All in all, we got lucky to actually pull off a draw, and then only b/c we got so many cas we seriously outnumbered him the entire game. I hate his gutters--neither having block, yet when they had the ball my blockers could not for the life of them throw a pow/skull or pow to stop them from dodging away for yet another score. I failed an obscene number of gfi's, too...all in all, an extremely sloppy game. I probably could've easily won this had I not been so intent on getting spp's spread out, but I couldn't help it--so many players were so close to their next skill! Ended up getting 6 skills, while those blasted pass-drops kept me from getting two more skills. A double and another +agi, but at the cost of my second player aging -str on his second skill roll. Will keep him--agi 5 guards might come in handy, lending help in obscure places--but that hurts when I still have cash for only 9 elves. Need one more injury-free game to maybe get my second witch back before I can feel comfortably competitive again...
