After last game's massacre, they expected a recovery match against some nice flings, or perhaps an old-fashioned beating at the hands of the high kindred.
And I did promise them that.
Imagine their faces, when they realized they were facing off Orcs. We're playing against WHAT, cried Evarheim out!
And sure they didn't want to play. Dancehider really had a problems with his stomach, refusing to play a few drives. My star kicker decided that his back didn't want to play today, and we started off with 8 elves. Fortunately Ananlatt decided to show some team spirit after a serious coach-to-player talk in the locker room, and played for the entire second half.
Blackdragon really shone, and despite failing 2+ reroll on several occations (liquor courage must have been his secret), his strip ball really helped us come through. Evarheim was rather good at "fishing" (must have been all his practice in the Farwood brook as a child) and snatched the ball on several occations.
Nice work by the Farwood boys, made better by a nice opponent not fouling the 4-6 elves typically at the field at a time ;)”
